Have you tried Soundforge? It was the best window$ wav editor I found when I was converting all my tapes to mp3’s (tedious process) — to tell you the truth I got sick of windows crashes and finished the bulk of the process using Broadcast2000 under Linux.
Don’t no if this is useful or not
