75 And Still Going Strong

It was my Mum’s birthday today. Happy 75th Birthday Mum!
Wow! 75 years is a long time. I think she was most pleased about getting her free TV licence!

  1. Wait, what? TV Licenses? I didn’t even know such a thing existed! Free TV for all, here in NZ…

Happy B’day to your mum, in any case 🙂

  2. Hi, Mike! I just stoped by to inform you that I am using your journalized theme (sand version) with some little modifications at my personal website. I hope you find a minute to stop by there and take a look. Thank you for sharing your themes, they are great! 🙂

  3. I like the idea of tying the tax directly to the device. You can see directly where your taxes go. I just pay thousands into a “general fund” that Congress blows most of. I haven’t a clue where most of it goes.

  4. I don’t know what I’d do if I had to pay a T.V. tax – I feel kinda bad now b/c I actually like BBC programming 🙂

Happy b-day to your mum – hopefully she has many more in her.

  5. In Germany there is no option of not paying the tv license. So if you were envious of the New Zealanders you can at least now feel superior to us 😉 – not to mention the fact that the BBC is one of the best tv programs in the world, to my mind.

  6. Well, I was just browsing, and saw that another user had thanked you for the use of your theme – which seems like a nice gesture. I’ve used your theme too, heavily modified, and I thank you very much for it 🙂

In Ireland, TV licencing only applies to Irish channels, but we can pick up UK channels too and we don’t have to pay for them 😛 Ha ha!
