We went to the Stockport Junior Schools’ Carol Festival tonight. Jamie was singing in the choir along with some of her classmates. Some members of the Stockport Youth Orchestra were there too. Even the Mayor and Mayoress turned up 🙂
It was a good concert. I don’t usually like the sound of lots of children singing but these were particularly good. I think they must have had lots of practice.
The festival was held in St George’s Church which is quite a large impressive building. The voices sounded good in that setting.

Phew, I’ve just finished The Mammoth Hunters by Jean M Auel. It’s a much more of a girly love story than the first two books, but a fantastic read anyway. There is definitely a change of pace in this book compared to the first two. The two main characters meeting the mammoth hunters of the title allows for much broader character development. The constant repetition of known facts was a little annoying, but in all, a good tale very well told.
Recommended!
It’s on to The Plains Of Passage next. I remember this being a slow book. It’s certainly a lot thicker than the first three.

I’m not sure how genuine this is, but let’s hope Microsoft don’t get into this business. I can just imagine having “Born to be w?*z%^ MS TattooMe has caused an error. Press any key to continue” across your back. 🙂

Well the monthly stats for November are in, and as expected the 3 days without logs has skewed the totals and averages.
As it stands it seems that the daily average number of visits is 228 which is down on last month. However if I ignore the three blank days then the average is up to 254 visits per day. This is nearer to what I would expect. Every stat except visits is up on October’s figures. This month I actually had over 1 Gig bandwidth usage for the month. In fact bandwidth usage is up by more than 50%!
I’ve just noticed and fixed a bug in the B2 Calendar code. Actually two, there was also one in Alex King’s ‘arrow’ hack. By coincidence, as I was working on a fix, Alex IM-ed me to say he’d spotted it too. Between us we got it fixed. Woot! I’ve just finished watching The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring [Extended Version]. It was absolutely brilliant! Recommended
