I’ve just caught up with The Diary of Samuel Pepys. I’d not read for the last four or five days. It is absolutely fascinating. As are the comments/annotation readers are adding. It’s great that some are very knowledgeable, and include references or quotes.

I saw this Tomahawk V-10, the other day over at Yahoo.
Dodge introduced its Tomahawk V-10, 8.3-liter (505 cubic inch) concept motorcycle at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on January 6, 2003. The superbike features independent four-wheel suspension, and its engine, borrowed from the Viper sports car, can propel the Tomahawk at speeds of nearly 400 mph, according to Dodge.
400 mph! Think of the bugs in your teeth 😯 Four wheel drive! Are they sure it is a bike?
Edit: The original picture I linked to has been removed by Yahoo news. You can still find information on this at americanmotor.com, The Chicago Tribune, and The Cruisers Website
Update: Dodge now have a proper website for the Dodge Tomahawk with photos, news, specs, etc.
Here’s a neat idea from the Google Labs: Google Viewer.
The Google Viewer displays the pages found as a result of your Google search as a continuous scrolling slide show. You can view your search results without using your keyboard or mouse and you can adjust the speed with which the images move across your screen. Each image of a page’s contents is accompanied by a short “snippet” describing that page.
It’s a bit old now, but a Japanese manufacturer has been showing a spherical PC (the site is in Japanese but there are pictures). Pretty cool!

I ‘think’ this is cool but I’m not sure! It’s an inflatable church from InnovationsUK.com.
OK. It’s actually a good idea tied into the change of the law in the UK from places being licensed to conduct weddings to people being licensed.
Leslie Harpold has produced a wonderful advent calendar for the christmas season. It is well recommended, she has put a lot of work into it.
