Bad News

I heard last night that Jackie’s (my daughter-in-law) sister Sharon had been savaged by the dog next door to their new house. She has been taken to hospital and kept in overnight. This is on top of Jackie’s dad having a major heart attack last Friday. Sad times.
More when I get it.

Busy Busy

I’ve not had chance to put up anything about my holiday yet. My step son and family moved house on Friday (the day we got back from holiday) and we went to the new house today (Saturday) to help out.

All Ready for the Holiday

We’re pretty much ready to go now. Tickets? Passports? Money? Check!
Suitcases packed, hand luggage mostly packed. Jamie’s in bed but not asleep (way too excited), I think Jan’s having a relax in the bath or something, and I’m sat in front of my PC (no change there then). Jan and I won’t be going to sleep tonight, not with having to leave for the airport at 4am. We are hoping that Jamie will get a few hours though.
Steve has very kindly offered to drive us to the airport. We are hoping to manage to get decent seats by being there early enough. We shall see.

If I don’t manage to blog again before I go. See y’all in a week!

Later days,
Mike

What a Weekend!

Wowee! What a weekend I’ve had. It was my birthday today. I’m now 40 years old. And I still don’t feel a day over 23!
I’ve had a great weekend thanks to my family. I’m going to write it up now. Stay tuned.

Update:I’ve written a brief write up of my great weekend.

Later days,
Mike

Swimming

I left work early and got home to pick up the car. Jan wasn’t too bad but was not up to taking Jamie swimming.
So I picked her up from school and took her for her swimming lesson. Unfortunately, Jamie is a little bit lazy when it comes to expending energy! The teacher had the whole class swimming ‘lengths’ of the cordoned off section of the pool. Whenever she got the chance Jamie would pull herself along with her hands on the side rather than swimming al the way.
Anyway it went off without a hitch, apart from losing the fifty pence piece from the locker when it dropped into a drainage grill!.
